She said: that’s not very lady like of you. He said: you’re not a girl. You can’t wear makeup to school. They said: it’s a confused generation, in a confused world. ZE said: we are generation change. Generation ZE. The generation to be seen AND heard.

The brand vision for the Thierry Mugler 2020 re-launch is to create a ready-to-wear collection, taking ethereal, sexy inspiration from Mugler’s iconic 80’s haute cotoure shows, blended in a harmonious balance with todays more relaxed approach to genderless fashion. Mugler is committed to satisfying the luxurious, sensually modern desires of our customers and will carry this through the launch.

Brand Story: the purpose behind Ze


BOYS PLAY DRESS UP TOO: NO MORE GENDER RESTRAINTS He’d always been fascinated by the art of makeup. Yet when his Dad caught him playing with lipstick in the mirror, he was grounded and ashamed. He wanted to be accepted. GIRLS DON'T CONFORM: NO MORE GENDER NORMS She had always followed the rules of society. She dressed how she thought a lady should dress and had long wavy hair. But she didn’t recognise her reflection. She wanted to break out of the mould.
